This kind of service is like indirect car pooling with driver. If somebody can provide such service to our IT hubs, 7 cars or SUVs will be replaced by 1 car. What say?

Revenue stream for Airlift

Naveen N - 10 June, 2008 - 18:33

Per trip, assuming all 6 seats are occupied - 300*6 = Rs. 1800 per cab to the airport

450*6 = Rs. 2700 from the airport making it Rs. 4500 for a round trip per cab.

On the other hand, Meru/Easycabs @15 per km. and an average trip length of 45 kms will make 45*15*2 = Rs. 1350 for a round trip per cab.

If this Airlift venture becomes a success, expect a lot of competition in the shared cab business:-) Good for us and we can avoid getting fleeced by the neighbouring taxiwallah or the airport taxis.

Going to the airport is not an issue, but will BIAL, Easycabs and Meru allow pick-up by Airlift from the P1 parking lot as advertised by Airlift on their website? Its gonna affect their revenues big time!

Airlift Ad?

So much for airlift wanting to choose a Praja.in blog to advertise its services. bangalore-guy , one of our members who used airlift service had put up a review on http://praja.in

Please read this too. I would not depend on Airlift for now

Blogging as much as it seems people can get carried away you always run the risk of getting different views.
Request to admins: Yes this did look as an AD to me too and would request an update on the FAQ on these lines.

Airlift

I wish whoever runs airlift (or any other company that tries to 'spam' blogs) realises that blogs are swords that cut both way !!

Here is another bad experience on airlift by s_yajaman.

I do not intend to show airlift in any particular bad light, but I guess would like to give praja the balanced picture rather than one sided rosy ad-post.
