Looks chaotic, but it isn't that hard to get started. In case you have had enough of reading wise words from other members, and want to jump right in, here is an explanation of how it all works here.

You first have to register

Registration is a simple 2 step process

• Step 1 - Fill in your details
  
  • Supply a member name. Your choice whether you want to pick an alias or stay with your real name
  • Supply your email address. We need it for two reasons:
    • To verify that its a real person registering
    • So that there is a way for others to contact you. Members can contact each other via "contact" or "private message" features.
  • Since we ask for your email, let us mention our simple and clear privacy policy
    • Other members never see your email address, even when they contact you.
    • In fact, nobody except the site administrator can see your email address
    • Admins are never going to share your email with anyone
  • After your praja-id, and email address, you have to supply in a few other details, most of those are optional.
  • Say "submit"
• Step 2 - Email verification
  
  • Once you have completed the Step 1, you get an email on the address you supplied above
  • This email will have the steps to complete your registration. Basicallyt, you would be verifying your email address by responding to a system generated email.

You are set - just start commenting and posting

• After you register, you get the rights to post comments
• As you post comments, you earn what we call as Praja points
• Once you get a few Praja points, you get access to post forum topics, and events
• Get to 50 Praja points, and you get the rights to post blogs
• Past 200 points, you can ask to be the Praja moderator. As long as you have been verified to be a real person, there is no reason to turn down your request.
• Past 1000 points, you get the privilege to represent Praja in invitation based events
• Point based system mentioned here may change or get tuned as we grow, but the thing to remember is this:
  • Whenever demand exceeds supply for anything at Praja, Praja points are expected to settle the debate.

And remember, there are no leaders or bosses here, you are Praja!

So, now that you have understood how it all works over here, take this - the most important thing you should know. This online community, anchored around this website, is about you. Nobody does things for you here. You have the same rights and privileges to organize an event, plan a project or do just about anything on this platform. We are an open entity, subject only to community moderation guidelines, and that is the Praja difference.
