good to see this taking off!

good to see this taking off! all the best!

some issues with the kannada flyer..

1)sanchara is spelt as sachara ..the 'o' is missing (sorry my SCIM is not working for some reason and hence not typing in kannada!)

2)why have you said bmtc kaarkhane bus? as in why the 'khaarkhane' ?

3) if u have said "kelsa"..(meaning work)..then angadi also might get covered? many ppl work in angadis..not all ppl own angadis. swhy dont u say "office/angadi/school etc?

4)the next line should be "nimma bandhu..balaga.." not namma..

5)that deerghakaala and all makes it a little too formal

are you guys planning to have a press conf to announce this? you should.so that it gets carried in kannada and english press. speak to ricky kej also ..the kannada music director..he may make a jingle for this

some issues with the kannada bit -

1)sanchaara is spelt wrong

2)why "kelsa/angadi"..say office/angadi etc

3)didnt understand why u say "khaarkhaan" buses

4)deerghakaala sounds too formal..use another word..more colloquial

5)last line in balck should be "nimma bandhu balaga..." not "namma bandhu balaga.."

sorry didnt type in kannada..my SCIM is not working.

try and get a press conf before the launch..let papers carry this news before feb 4th..

Kannada flyer suggestions

shas3n - 14 January, 2010 - 10:32

Vinay,

Your initial comment did not appear instantly due to the new moderation we have active to fight spam. Sorry about that. New users' comments are approved initially. Now on you should be able to post instantly.

Your feedback about typos and the tone of the Kannada flyer are valid. I have made a revised version which hopefully is less formal and more appealing. See if you all like it.

Here is the doc version. (Made on Openoffice, so might have a formatting problem with Word).

Hope this helps.

PS: If you are using Ubuntu, use iBus instead of SCIM. (System->Admin->Language). I faced problems with SCIM 9.04 onwards.
