If more Local trains are added then we have to think about the various railway level crossing in and around the city. There must be a plan to build RUB/ROB at least for those crossings where there is a lot of traffic

Thanks Sanjeev for uploading documents. (small technical nitpick - Try avoid upper cases, document list, or any other display on other pages usually look better with low case letters.)
So as we talked on Saturday, I will post a draft of RTI that we will send to SWR for CRS related questions.
Any response from Mr Madhu for a fixed meeting date? I am dropping him an email again today,

@Pranav
Mr V Madhu is out of station and the Local Trains / Commuter Trains is looked after by Smt.N.Manjula Geetha, Under Secretary in IDD
I spoke to her this noon, she gave appointment Thursday afternoon, we can plan for meeting with her at 2PM if the timing is suitable and she has asked for representation for improving timings of the recently introduced Local Train to Hosur & Devanhallai. Further we can discuss with her on Commuter Rail progress.

Devanahalli Train - South Bangaloreans not benefitted
Vasanth - 12 April, 2010 - 04:35
Devanahalli Train, which was started from Yeshwantpur is not benefitting South Bangaloreans. One has to go to Yeshwantpur all the way to catch the train, instead we can go to airport itself by travelling on the other side.
If this would have been started from Kengeri, with stopping at Jnanabharathi, where people could easily enter the station (no hassles to climb the stairs to cross the tracks), and SBC (Majestic). it would have saved hell a lot of time especially during peak hours.
Also, they should introduce A/C chair car coaches to attract the high end flight traveller.

Appreciate all the discussions, but this project needs some helping hands.
right now, need help with two things
- Meeting state govt side people (IDD, and anyone else who interfaces with Railways from GoK side)
- Meeting Railways people (SWR). Since they are not that easily accessible to public (SWR DRM or PRO have not been responding to emails), we will start SWR engagement with an RTI
Basically, we need collect information (as in present officla status of circular rectangular city commuter or whatever rail that Muniyappa and Yedddy are talking about).
Once we have the current official status, then we will plan some lobying events for commuter rail.
Either way, we are tired of announcements and token compliances.
