NICE Freeway becomes part of PRR!

BMIC Bangalore NICE PRR Media Reports
Good news to start the week..
"The government and NICE will collaborate on the Bangalore Development Authority’s 112-km Peripheral Ring Road project that has been jinxed by land acquisition and funding issues since it was proposed over five years ago ... The deal, reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to NICE, will realign the PRR in an arch half its original length and connect it with NICE’s 42km peripheral road. The PRR will join the two ends of the NICE freeway at Tumkur Road and Hosur Road and circumnavigate the city outside the Outer Ring Road."
At last some sensible decision from the govt..
do not have the link to the above report..but sounds credible!

Perhaps NICE should also bid for PRR

Will this be a tolled road then?

Here is the link for it..yes its gonna be tolled ..anyways PRR was always mooted to be tolled..now the toll cost will be more controlled!

A definite sane decision, we have talked about this so much here. JD-s govt was trying to compete with NICE. Its better to collaborate as long as you can keep monopolistic tendencies under check.
In one of our meetings, someone had mentioned that some work has already been done on the souther half of PRR (the loop that would run parallel to NICE PRR). If land has already been acquired there, will it now be returned?
I couldn't read the newslink, seems to be gone now. Did it say anything that could imply that NICE itself could be building the North loop of PRR?

Ideally, if there is a loop from Hosur Road to Tumkur Road and thence to Bellary Road, it would provide quick connectivity to Electronics City.
