Bangalore environment Analysis global warming

The 2007 Nobel Peace Prize was given to Al Gore Jr (b1948) and IPCC of Geneva Switzerland for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change. A must Listen 20 minuets “Al Gore Nobel Speech”

Al Gore's Nobel winning work details are available in two CDs, which superbly present the essence of global warming and the carbon credit concept. According to me the only way we can control carbon credit is by dumping the automobile and going in for horse riding. I am really serious, not joking. Cycling? of course! Walking? yes of course.

These 3 links viz: Walking, Cycling and horse riding could be the start - end links in any journey undertaken.

Srivathsa - What I meant...

Naveen - 25 March, 2009 - 08:49

Hi Srivathsa,

What I meant was that Al Gore lost many votes on account of his promised commitment to change American Policies with regard to the environment.

US SC negating a Florida recount happened later, after votes had already been lost by him. If Americans had supported his environmental initiatives, there might never have been the need for a recount, for he might have secured the necessary margin.

I had installed a solar water heater in my house a few years back at a cost of Rs 30,000/- My electric bill came down by almost Rs 500/- per month. I have recovered my investment cost by now in 5 years. The Solar water heater is still running strong. I am very satisfied with my decision of switching over to Solar water heater, Sun Techniques India a company on 100 ft  rd is a 100% subsidiary of Conergy , Germany is one among several other such companies in Bangalore are proof of exploitation of Solar power in Bangalore.

...But America did not Vote Him

Naveen - 24 March, 2009 - 14:12

One of the main reasons attributed to Al Gore losing to George Bush Jr in the 2000 elections was because of his promised campaign to tackle global warming & environment-friendly initiatives. America has'nt changed, even now & is still arguing about costs of implementing the newer technologies that are environment-friendly, whilst in Europe, they have become so concerned that you read it on the lips of almost everyone you chat with. What a shame for a nation that is the richest, largest economy as also the largest polluter of the environment in the world.
