Hazratganj, is the MG road of Lucknow – I visited recently since the wife is from Lucknow. I loved the old world feel of the city with its eco friendly cycle rickshaws, old stores, familiar bookstores etc – the cold north Indian December weather added to the “good feeling” but what really got me impressed was a brave project – the Hazrathganj makeover! |

Happens so often in our world, but this one really got to me this morning. After waiting patiently for the light to turn green the third time, I managed to get tangled up right in the middle of the intersection - with vehicles inching in from all directions and eat into whatever little space that was left for me to pass. |

Is the wearing of seat belts optional in Bangalore? On my recent visits here I find (on a quick check) less than 30% of private car drivers wear seat belts, almost no taxi driver and LCV driver wears one. |
