As we know that the air pollution issues for the city is gaining attention. Yes, there is pollution and we should not deny it. What I have seen so far is many individuals are doing work on air quality issues without any knowledge or background. Thanks to Google, they spend an hour reading about air pollution and they have become experts.  There was a time when solid waste was a buzzword.

Multi Modal Integration : Metro, Railways, BMTC & Foot paths

As we have seen Ph-1 of Metro open to public without any consideration  for multimodal integration,  other end slowly suburban rail taking traction,  People are using over crowded Metro with poor integration  to change over from one mode of publci transport system to other.

Even we do not have single mobility card for Bangalore urban transport.

Bangalore has borne the brunt of bad engineering when it comes to road works. Thousands of crores are being spent mindlessly on projects with no actual value. The flyovers projects are the worst of the implementations, there are very few bridges which have proved their worth. A recent report on that can be seen here:

FInally BMRCL has published the UG route with station details of the new red line coming up between Gotigere and Nagavara. THe line goes UG at Dairy circle and has 12 stations on that stretch. The details are at the link below which was published recently

BMTC in Metro Times

Ever since the launch of Metro, especially after East West Purple line was fully implemented, Bengaluru is saying 'Metro, Metro'. BMTC commuters, office bus users and many car drivers have switched over to Metro.  Ridership has already touched 1.8 Lakhs on purple line.

GOK is not serious on suburban rail by looking at last 7-8 yrs progress on suburban rail.  DPR  is pending & No follow ups from GOK with Railway Officials.
