BIAL Bangalore RTI Action Aviation

Prajagale,

Before we are overtaken by great things that are happening on Praja front, it is time to share some progress update on BIAL-RTI efforts. Here is a summary of the progress so far:

  1. RTI Applications - A total of 11 RTI applications have been filed with various agencies that are part of BIAL Project. 5 with AAI, 2 with KSIIDC, 2 with GOK, 1 each with GDCA and MOCA. All these were filed around 2nd week of September .
  2. Information Requested - It covers a whole lot of details that govern BIAL project ranging from tender process, consortium selection process, CA agreement finalization, authorities who approved 150 Km rule, HAL closure approval, airport license process to non-compliance in facilities found before the operational license etc.
  3. Response - So far, DGCA, MoCA, and KSIIDC have acknowledged that they have received the application. Yet to hear from AAI and GOK.
  4. DGCA - Has asked for additional fees to be sent for providing the copies of info requested. This request have been responded with the requested additional fess paid thru a Postal order which was sent around 2nd week fo Oct, 08.
  5. MoCA - Has also asked for additional fees for providing the copies of information. Similarly this has been responded with the requested additional fees in 2nd week of October, 08.
  6. KSIIDC - Has requested the applicants to visit their office and get the copies of information we need. They are closed on 2nd and 4th Saturday. Therefore, we are tentatively planning for 3rd Saturday in November, i.e Nov 15th.
  7. AAI - Will be writing a reminder to provide the info we have requested.
  8. GOK - Will be following up with the respective authorities.

What next?

  1. Need 4-5 volunteers to accompany Ritesh Swamy to KSIIDC office and dig the BIAL information. Pls send a PM to Ritesh for further coordination. The visit to KSIIDC would probably be on Nov 15, 2008. Time and other details would be provided later.
  2. Need to follow up with the AAI and GOK authorities.
  3. Time to work parallely on getting across to Board of Directors on BIAL. Please feel free to write to them directly. Here is the link for address information.

Need Volunteers to visit KSIIDC !

kbsyed61 - 30 October, 2008 - 17:42

We need volunteers to accompany Rithesh Swamy to KSIIDC office and get the copies of BIAL information we all are looking for. Guys, here is our chance to dig that one truth everybody is trying to hide and dodge. The effort involved is, visiting KSIIDC office and scan their office records for the information. Make copies of the information we require. If you are interested please send a PM to Rithesh. Tentatively the visit has been planned for Nov 15. Rithesh is the contact person for this effort.
