jennypinto - 7-APR-2009

i have been reading up all the to and fros on the BMTC discussion, and i am just wondering, considering the involvement

framework that is fundamantally about a sustainable transport solution/s for bangalore.
that would include walking, cycling, pooling.

L.C.nagaraj - 12-MAR-2009

Dear friends,
as all of you probably know Bangalore was receiving 100% of drinking water from Hesaraghatta and T.G.Halli reservior in the olden days. Even after explosive growth of the metro bangalore was receiving 20% of the drinking water from these reserviors. These 2 reserviors are situated in the tank cascade system of 2 river tributories called Arkavathi and kumudhwathi.

Lessons learnt - but the hard way!

Agara lake & S T bed trees 012.jpgI moved into an apartment complex in S T Bed layout, Koramangala, about 4 years back. The layout was developed by BDA over a decade back on Sinivagilu tank bed, quite as per the widely prevalent practice then. For a layout on a tank bed, the drainage work done by BDA was totally inadequate, and as a result, the asphalting on the roads progressively deteriorated, making the drive through the layout worse than a ride on a camel back.

21st century’s dinosaurs

murali772 - 24-DEC-2008

What amazes me is they never seem to learn, even as our industry gets ready like its mighty US counterparts to go out with a begging bowl to the government for a bailout. This is possibly because they never listen. Today, even with the credit-tsunami, industry leaders and their sycophants in the finance world are all saying, "we never saw this coming". The reason is simple.
