Tomorrow (Saturday, 21/Sept) few Praja members are riding bicycles to Tattekere. All are welcome to join. This is our second outside-the-city, and first relatively long distance ride. First was the one up the Nandi hill, some 25km up and down.

The notorious potholes (craters) are back with a bang after the rains and all major and minor roads are full of it to the extent that we need to search for those short stretches of decent roads left.

Amidst all the press that BMTC is getting recently, one thing that caught attention was talk of mini buses, shuttles and feeder routes. As we all know, feeder plans, and solid execution of first/last mile connects can help increase usage of BMTC as well as (future) metro. As said in another post, I tried to create a road hump record using my basic andriod phone which just costed me 6.7k. I just mentioned cost to tell how valuable a phone can be, if it can be used constructively. The road humps are plotted in google maps, real time.. Also data can be saved in internet. |
