Analyze and highlight Bellandur lake issues

This is a project to understand and highlight Bellandur Lake's survival issues. Lake bed, wet land encorachment, discharge of sewerage into the lake, dumping of construction debris on the lake shores, eating into the channel that takes water down to Varthur lake are some of the issues threatening Bellandur lake.

Hello Friends,

An innovative technology is now available in Bangalore (imported from Australia) which will solve storm water drainage problem once and for all. The technology hghlights are:

1) Does not require any dreging of existing drains

LDA is back - Madivala lake and others

Who is actually responsible for upkeep of Bangalore's lakes? Answer may go like this - some lakes LDA, rest of them BWSSB. Refer late last year's news articles - lakes were transferred from LDA to BWSSB. But this was done only for some (17 or 18) lakes. To remind us all that they are around, LDA has floated work for rejuvenating 3 lakes.
